Yesterday was a special day in class...it was "helicopter day." After conducting a "FOD (Foreign Object Debris) walk" around the parking lot, two life flight helicopters (Cal-Star and Stanford) landed. Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department brought a truck and fire crew out to create a landing zone and land the choppers. This was such a neat experience! The helicopter crews were great, giving us a lecture about what they do, safety around a helicopter and how to load and unload patients. My team was selected from all the others to do the load in the Stanford helicopter which was quite an honor! My mom was able to come out and see the landing and also to snap a few pics!

Cal-Star touches down!
Stanford life flight...an 8 million dollar helicopter.
Yesterday was our last Saturday to run scenarios and do drills. Next Saturday is the first of two finals! We have to do all of our skills that we have been working on all semester and get them all perfect. It is probably going to be one of the most stressful days of my life. I would appreciate prayer that it would all go well considering if I do not pass I will not be able to pass the class and will have to wait until next semester to try again. Thank you!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

So exciting you've entered the blog world. I'm sure you'll have things to post about. Hey, sometimes all I have to share is that I've changed 10 poopy diapers and taken a shower for the day and maybe even got dinner on the table! So, whatever you have to write will be interesting! I'm glad I got to see some pictures of the helicopters, I just told Bryan the stories you shared with me this morning.
Very cool Kate!
